Courage

"Courage is the resistance to fear, the mastery of fear, not the absence of fear."-Mark Twain

It takes a lot of courage to go to counseling. To talk to a stranger and tell them your most personal, private thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, takes tons of courage. To face past traumas and current insecurities, to trust someone new when a lack of trust is a person's biggest struggle, takes amazing bravery.

I am always inspired when I see someone overcome their fear and worries. I guess that is one of the reasons I chose counseling as a profession. I get to see people making changes in their lives. Sometimes big, sometimes small, but meaningful to them either way.

If you are ready to take this giant step, I am ready to hear your story.
